The website we designed for Mike's Sushi Bar is elegant, yet simple and straightforward. A fully responsive menu design allows customers to easily browse through items, while a WhatsApp button directly linked to the shop allows them to place orders instantly. It works like an app - without any of the drawbacks!
The design is luxurious and makes generous use of black with hints of gold throughout to give a rich look and feel. The WhatsApp icon in the corner is unobtrusive and can be minimized if in the way. One quick tap opens a direct chat with Mike's for convenient ordering.
Because Mike's Sushi Bar was starting from scratch, we had a great opportunity to create something completely fresh. The branding for Mike's needed to stand out from any other sushi restaurant in the area. It needed to convey quality and luxury yet be simple, instantly memorable and friendly.
This was achieved with a stark contrasting colour palette of black and gold, with a golden frame containing two sets of golden chopsticks overlapping to represent sharing and togetherness while creating the iconic "M" letter form.
Furthermore, the Mike's Sushi Bar logo was designed with responsiveness in mind. The different variations allow it to be modified to fit whatever layout environment it's placed in - building signage, business cards, social media posts or mobile device screen - without compromising the brand.
Mike's also asked us to create custom Facebook and Instagram posts in keeping with the brand's character. A Facebook campaign that accurately reflects your brand goes a long way in giving consistency to the way customers perceive one's brand - and Mike's Facebook following took off as a result!
